"The Old Steele Farm" one of the original farmhouses of Lower Creek Township, built by Steele/Thompson family presumably around 1804. Home has a rich history of documented farm life. The farm at one time had more than 550 acres, owned by family till around 1974. The Old Steel Farm has many stories, particularly the original four room "duplex" house built with bricks made on this farm, interior chestnut flooring and yellow pine ceilings cut from trees grown on the farm, and of coarse the hand hewed walls of an original log cabin. Nothing less than inherent character embodies this farmhouse and property. Own a piece of history.
