Historical log cabin built by the Emergency Relief Administration of North Carolina 1933-1935. The "U" shaped building is made of "skinned" pine logs, chinked with mesh and cement and gray rocks. Four rock fireplaces and eleven rock columns hold the logs together. The flooring is heart of pine. Originally built as a community center and later converted into three apartments by the current owner. Each apartment has a living room, kitchen, 1 or 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and utility room. Great commercial location for a deli or retail shop. Enough room for parking and a second drive. 20x40 concrete block building is accessible across bridge (needs repair) over small creek.
